It was the 60’s.

The world was reeling from the Kennedy assassination, the U.S. Congress was outlawing segregation, space travel became a reality, the women’s rights movement began and the Vietnam War quagmire had its beginning.

It was in these enlightened yet troubled times that Fruitman and Kates got together to form their accounting practice.

It was founded on the principles of quality work and integrity.

They knew that their target market was owner managed entrepreneurial businesses which would require close relationships with the owners that would not only involve accounting, auditing and tax planning but also business consultation, advice and financial guidance.

Over the past 40 years we have not changed the goals or the profile but are at the forefront of technology and professional development.

The gauntlet so created has been taken up by young, energetic and industrious partners who have brought their own expertise and enhancements to the Practice.

In addition, the Practice is known for its expertise in the entertainment area. It has developed a strong experience level in film, live entertainment, post-production, advertising and all matters related to taxation, both local and foreign.
